AOC Cotes du Rhone - Domaine de L'Espigouette

Beautiful cherry red colour with a purple rim. The nose is generous, with crunchy red berries dominating. We also perceive as sweetness, something creamy, almost sweet. When stirred, candied cherries, morello cherries and raspberry cream make the wine very attractive. The mouth does not disappoint, it is supple and delicious. It's a nice continuity with the nose. We note a lot of sweetness, roundness without any aggressiveness despite the presence of pretty tannins, well controlled. Good length. A wine of immediate pleasure, to be enjoyed with summer cooking or with a filet mignon with prunes or a shoulder of lamb in herb juice.
